DIY WELLNESS

Everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and respected. This starts with you. We invite you to take the time to get to know yourself authentically, to listen to what your thoughts and heart are telling you, and to show yourself the respect you deserve.

The idea behind DIY Wellness is that even though we all share common struggles, we each respond in our own unique way, and we need different strategies to process and deal with our experiences.  Throughout this collection of workbooks, you will be given information, activities, and tools to help you discover which strategies are effective for you. You will use this information to create your own customized DIY Wellness Plans. 

Creating Calm is the first in our line of DIY Wellness Workbooks. Creating Calm shows you ways to connect with yourself and introduces you to strategies and techniques that you can use to make a meaningful, “uniquely you” stress plan that will help you create more calm in your life.

Creating Calm, a Do It Yourself Wellness Workbook is written for ages 14 and up. The workbook contains the following sections:

  • The Science Behind Stress

  • Your Stress Experience

  • Changing Your Thoughts

  • Self-Compassion

  • Mindfulness and Meditation

  • Other Things to Think About That Will Help to Reduce Stress

  • Art Journalling Activities

  • Planning for Stress

Each section contains information, Creating Calm strategies, reflection questions, and/ or activities to guide you in making your own stress plan.

If you prefer to have some guidance going through the workbook and would like to work through it in a group format, we will be offering virtual Creating Calm sessions that you can sign up for.
